Are you a parent? Is it better to teach the kid you’ll fulfill any dream the kid has as long as they say “but you promised you’d...”?

If you actually did promise, yes. But,

Whether or not you purchase it, you may want to have a discussion about asking parents for things while they are asleep.

This implies he woke you up while sleeping, no go for me.

Though he is 4, so it's not the easiest of concepts, so

Have you all lost your mind?
JUST BUY IT!!!

Apparently you’ve never been a child.

Never been a child, never had children, have never done this before, have no clue what I'm talking about.

I agree with 1 out of 4.  :)
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

DEAD >:(

and to answer everyone's points:

here is what i was thinking:

1. I need to stick to my word
2. I told him can't ask me anything while I'm Sleeping
3. he was so excited I can't not buy it :D

If you buy it I predict he’ll come back another time and tell you you promised something else.

Is he your oldest/first child? Between ages 3-6 (and probably beyond, but that’s what I’ve observed so far) children make several cognitive leaps, and keep surprising you by their ever-developing intelligence.

You mean manipulators? I’m not implying children are malicious/nefarious, but they’re learning about life and how to get their way.

3rd.

He is a well behaved kid and when I sort of mentioned that he can't ask me early in the morning when I'm sleeping he get all embarrassed knowing that something went wrong here  :D
