Is it still possible to get a good deal with T-Mobile? Thinking of switching from visible if I can get a good deal.
Yes, most definitely. It really depends what you need, and what you consider a good deal. My family plan is 9 lines for about $160. Unlimited 5G (100gb "premium"), talk, and text.

That's a first responder plan, which you may not qualify for, but there are plenty of other options with them.
Memories last forever, make them while you can.

That's a great plan!
Is there a similar deal without needing to be a first responder?

Not necessarily that cheap, but you can get a good deal. Also, there are often free lines that can be tacked onto the plan.

Yes. I believe it's 5gb high speed per line, but that isn't something I use.

I started on a plan 3 lines for $120 about 3 or 4 years ago. I currently pay $120 for 11 lines

Really solid! You may not find a plan that is super cheap, but the price per line can always be dropped over time, with promos and free lines.

So I guess it pays to wait for such a promotion? What's the best base rate to start with?

I’m not sure free lines will be as prevalent going forward, and wouldn’t start service with T-mo strictly with that expectation.

@Yo ssi try to get a 20% insider code, that should get you 20% off whatever the current published rate is for life. How many lines are you looking to get?

Check the Reddit T-mobile subreddit, there’s a pinned topic there for this. The current codes expire (if unused) in early January so they’re supposedly very available

If I can get a good deal I shouldn't have a problem finding people to join. I have an inside discount code but I wouldn't consider that a great price even with 8 lines

9 lines with insider and some of them free starts to get good. It also depends on the rate plan you go for, MagentaMax is a significant premium over Essentials, so it depends what you’re looking for.

Lastly, if you owe on devices with your current carrier, T-mobile will pay off up to $1000/line with keep-and-switch (also known as BreakFree and CarrierFreedom), subject to some fine print terms

starting off with six lines at right about 30 a line for max for adding two to three more lines brings total to under $30 a month per line

That's without the first responder discount?
According to my calculation, currently with 8 lines the max is $40/m Which would be $32 with insider. 6 for 30 sounds quite a bit better
