I just got approved for the first responder rate... not the $0 version
I'm an EMT myself which would qualify for the Discount plan. For example my 8 lines I have, would run me a bill of $160 For unlmtd everything.

-Pros-
• Great Price
• Unlmtd Talk/Text/Data

-Cons-
• Not qualified for free line promos
• Not Eligible for free Phone and upgrades.
• Need to verify the status of the First responder every year.

While I current have 8 paid lines for $140 Plus tax and then 2 free lines(costed me a total of $10 after tax for the free lines.)
So $150 plus tax which comes out to $184.
Then I need data on one of my lines( I'm at 2gb per line on my Simple choice Unlmtd Talk and Text and 2gb data high speed then 128 kb speeds.) So another $15 per month for one line to get unlmtd. We're talking about $197 for 10 lines with only one of them having Unlmtd data.

I need a new plan desperately but still unsure if I should grab this new line and then play from here where to go?

I requested for my plan to switch over to the First responder plan at the end of the month, but rethinking it and now unsure if that's my best option being that I won't be able to partake in the free phone's and lines throughout the years. As I already got 2, and 3 will be now should I take it in less than one year.
So another few free lines over the years will definitely make it a smart choice to stay in the phone line I'm on now. Or change the SOC code to a better plan.

 I hope it's a bit clearer than my previous post @Yo ssi , @AsherO

Just beware that such plans might not qualify for all promotions. But can’t beat a cheap plan.
Exactly, see above.
To be more precise I only need 8 lines, not 11. Though I can rent my 3 free lines to others.
And even with my 8 lines, only need 6 with paid service.

Very clear, thanks! Hope my response is as clear:

See if you can get T-force to switch you to any SC plan with better data (not 2gb) at the same or lower rate. Basically present them with the issue and see what they offer you. See if you can transfer to the 4gb plan (I think) that apparently allows you to manually switch each line to unlimited data for free. I saw such plan on Reddit, that might be a better fit for you.

If the $160/month includes unlimited data on on your lines then it’s a question of how much you value promos (and whether your plan qualifies for device promos. Free $600+ devices on each line every 2-3 years should be worth an extra $37/month (or even $50/month), at least to me it would. The 2gb data is a killer.

Well said I agree with you. And over the years the free lines would pay up for itself and the new phones.
So might just be worth it to pay more upfront and wait it out with time for the 3 lines.

I started managing this account just recently as of November time this past year.
So with 2 lines free and this now the third, I would take
free phone's with a 24mnth credit now knowing I'm going to stick with a plan I have, and not always thinking what to switch to.
I think the NAFFTU4 offers 4 lines for $120 and then each additional line for $20 plus tax IINM. Gotta see if I can switch to this SOC code. For 4 lines this plan takes the cake and like you said seems on reddit the phone plan offers 4gb or 10gb and can be adjusted to Unlmtd afterwards.
And not sure if the $5 Auto pay works for this line or not.

I guess I got to make my final decision mtz shbs. Thanks though Asher!

Good luck with T-Force.

If you can get autopay on any SOC that’s $40/month (it caps out at 8 lines), depending on the SOC it might or might not get you $5 off of a free line.

Who's Tforce? Different then the front line incompetent reps you get when calling 611?

Yes, those are called TEX (Team of EXperts), T-force is T-mobile’s support on Twitter, iMessage, and other social-media-type platforms.

I paid $180 and my seller is sold out of that one. Can probably get an android S9 or one of the other qualifying devices (different list for each trade in promo) for less. But make sure your seller will send you an IMEI before shipping.

I paid more for a device I knew would pass their inspection, supposedly all they care about is cracked screen (or other major physical damage) and/or water damage, but I didn’t want to risk it. Device also has to not be iCloud locked (or whatever the android equivalent is) and IIRC not blacklisted by the carrier (e.g. bills not paid, stolen, etc).

The way I see it, t-mobile is giving me $830 and I won’t be able to switch the trade in device. So it was worth buying from a wholesaler/cell phone specialist that will give me what I’m expecting and I don’t save $50 but get screwed out of my $830.

@AsherO I'm looking for two iphone 8's, can I pm you for your seller info?

lol, never heard you have to @tag someone for permission to PM lol

I can’t promise you’ll be as successful as I was at this, but I purchased from the following sellers:
https://ebay.com/usr/megasaverphones
https://ebay.com/usr/evalueexpo

P.s. bumping this thread you had me excited for a minute that I was going to get another free line (:

Nope, just reputable eBay sellers who sell thousands of phones in various conditions. Theirs is a volume business and they only stand to lose by misrepresenting what they're selling. When it was a difference of $10-20 I chose to pay the higher price for something I was more comfortable with seller/condition wise.

Promo launched today for BOGO free lines (meaning you have to add a paid line as well) for most plans

The following plan types are not eligible: Value Essentials, Military, Unlimited 55+, First Responder, Amplified, Select Choice, No Credit Check

https://tmo.report/2021/06/2021-line-on-us-10-is-here-and-its-a-bogo/

My plan is eligible, but I'm tempted to wait for a fully free line. Lets see what happens.

Hope nobody gets too excited with me bumping this thread.

T-mobile free line coming on 12/17 to existing 55+, Military, or First Responder customers whose account has been active for three months.

There’s been a BOGOF line offer for a while now, they keep renewing it and changing the terms. It’s currently available for existing customers and requires you to have two paid lines on specific plans (including SC, Magenta, Essentials, etc.)

Anyone here with T-mobile have 9+ lines along with free line and/or insider promos?

I have 10 lines on my business account and can't add any more voice lines without changing my plan type so I added 3 free data lines over the years.

Are business lines structured similar to consumer lines where your base plan cost a flat price for the first 9 lines and your free line discounts come off that amount?

I think the first 6 are $160 and the next 4 are $10 each.
Started with 500MB high speed data which got bumped to 1GB then 2GB then 4GB and now unlimited.
I can never add free lines (unless I remove some before the promo starts) bc my plan type is limited to 10 lines but I can add up to 5 Data lines.

I signed up through this deal and they opened a business account for me.
