T-Mobile has posted an internal memo saying that the original account segment qualifier has been added properly. This could mean that the original terms required for the promo have been actually added now. Adding the line yourself is at your own risk now, as it may no longer add the promo to accounts that aren't notated as eligible.

Basically starting today it doesn’t matter what plan you have if you’re told you’re ineligible then adding a line yourself definitely won’t qualify you.

This deal seems even sweeter, I plan on porting in a qualifying number from another carrier and hope to get a $200 rebate under the following offer. Hope this doesn’t backfire:

This $200 rebate came through for me for the free line for December, so I did the current $200 port in promo (2023SwitchP4) for the current free line offer (must be done within 30 days of adding the line IINM).

I also did the AAA port-in promo (promo code 2022AAAP1), it’s supposed to be $50/line for up to two lines. Not sure if those two promos stack, but figured I have nothing to lose trying.

I was about to do a trade in for an s22 or s23 on a megenta plan with a S9. Was offering $350. Now they took that away and are offering only $200.
  Seems all the new offers are now only for the new Go5g and Free, $800 off with the new plans only. Let's hope that changes...

Assuming the max upgrades per account is 4 per promo, And that would require 4 lines? Meaning I wouldn't be able to use one line and upgrade 4 times?

that's one per promotion per line  generally speaking up to 4

There are reportedly ways to have multiple EIP promos on one line, but it’s too risky and unlikely you’ll be able to use the same line for multiple instances of the same promo.

Keep in mind you can use any line that has an upgrade available to get a promotion, even if you don’t plan on using the device on that line.

FWIU it only works for multiple different promotions, you have to pay the device off (the recurring credits continue and are moved from line-level to account-level) and then you can do another EIP promo.

Seems to be their path forward.

It’s a gimmick saying “Go5G existing customers will be eligible for the same promos as new customers” which will only be true until a new plan is released in 2-4 years.

I’m already at 12 lines so can’t take advantage of this offer anyway.
