"As somebody with a PhD in Biochemistry, who has access to the time to read the political works of Lorde and hooks, Serano has failed to interrogate whiteness as an identity construct of power that seeks to further its dominance on all. Failing to understand her whiteness within 21st century multiracial but white supremacist academia, and citizenry within racial, imperial America (a nation-state of Eurocolonial occupation) Serano misses the mark on genealogy of gender intersecting Euro-domination discourses of race, anti-indigenous genocide, blackness and white masculinity. The book's only mention of Iran evaded discussion on American domination on global media coverage of international relations and global security. My disappointment is solely with Serano as an irresponsible writer. Presuming that she has privilege and access to grassroots trans and gender politicized community organizing in Oakland, I seriously question her understanding of class and race."

That was most of someone's review of a book. (Blink and you'll miss
any reference to what the book itself was actually about.) Good grief.

I can proudly say that I have only heard of 4 of those games, and have only played 1.  :P

Um, what happened to the good old games? Stratego, Monopoly, Clue, Othello, Scrabble, etc?

Did they all become racist and cancelled?

I went through the games.

I had not heard of about 5.

Played: 22 or 23. (This includes ones played digitally, even if only against AI, and includes a couple
of very similar games, such as King of Tokyo vs KoNY. I included playing Sushi Go for SG Party, as
SG's cards are a playable set in SG Party. In one case, I'm not quite sure that I played the game.)

They're more old than they are good (not that there aren't a lot of
negative opinions out there about some of the games in the image).

I was strongly considering giving a like to this post, as I was impressed that your frequent talk about obscure games actually panned out when you showed up for a test.

But then you started taking shots at those sacred institutions of my childhood, and I knew that you crossed a line. It's one thing to call Biden sane on DDF or to defend Hamas, but to call Stratigo or Monopoly boring? You deserve a gray username.

(Another stat: I own 9 of those played games and used to own 1 more.)

(Obscure is relative. A Jewish song would have to be much more obscure to be
obscure for you as opposed to someone who's not a Jewish music enthusiast.)

There are 2 aspects of disturbing here. One the content itself but more so the degree of randomality is extremely disturbing.

Not my petition and I don't know the family but this seems critical:

I signed. The site then gives you the option of going through 10 more petitions. Eventually, I got this:

So, here's some very sensible writing:

About 10 months ago, I figured out that I wanted to start hormone replacement therapy and in that way
medically transition. There were many reasons for this decision, but one of them was the realization that
growing up Israeli and trans in Jerusalem while being expected to become a Zionist man left an aftermath
in my body. I needed help to heal, and sensed that growing a rounder, more tender body would help me
connect with the justice-loving feminine child inside of me, and that having such a body would help me
grow from that soft place.
...
Teva, a word meaning “nature” in Hebrew, is an Israeli-owned pharmaceutical company
that I have vaguely heard about as a participant in the economy of the occupation.
...
Zionism has tried to tie trans liberation to Palestinian oppression, but we refuse to accept this as our reality.

(If you want the rest for some reason, it's here: https://www.them.us/story/israel-hormones-and-transitioning)
