There is no law about distribution, only guidelines. I don’t know how they got them but how can they be under criminal investigation? They’re allowed to purchase whatever vaccine they can get their hands upon, are they not?

Well, let's say you don't follow government driving guidelines. That can be construed as reckless behavior and criminal negligence or worse. Say someone acquired vaccines by fraudulent declarations/intent. The term 'guidelines' doesn't preclude laws.

As far as I know, there are driving laws. You can call them guidelines but on the books they are laws that we must abide by and can face penalties and punishments if we don't.

FWIW, from what I understood they weren't giving them just to anybody. They were only giving them to people over age 60 and that age group everyone knows is at higher risk of dying from Covid than younger people so I personally don't see why its so terrible.

I know someone who is barely over 40, no health issues, who got it there last week.

They didn't buy the vaccine they were given it by the government, and they had to sign an agreement when they got it.

Their advertisements led to a Google Form signup which asked for insurance info, and was certainly not HIPAA compliant

I doubt someone will go to jail over this but I can see individuals or the organization(s) facing fines, loss of licenses, or being blacklisted from government programs.

This sounds wasteful. If it’s happening on a daily basis then they’re sending too many vaccines to these vaccination places. Surprised people aren’t lining up for unused vaccines even so early on.
