If this was the case for @aygart’s AC then we’d have more reports of this. PCR tests can be adapted if needed. If the strain isn’t more contagious then it might fizzle out.
Reported in Finland too.

Theoretically, if one would lose their eligibility between the first and second dose, would the still be able to get it?

Do they use all the extra shots daily or are they (sometimes?) throwing some away?

There's probably a cvs employee who's currently on their 37th round and is now immune to COVID-2029

Quote
The coronavirus vaccines made by Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech are proving highly effective at preventing symptomatic and asymptomatic infections under real-world conditions, federal health researchers reported on Monday.

Consistent with clinical trial data, a two-dose regimen prevented 90 percent of infections by two weeks after the second shot. One dose prevented 80 percent of infections by two weeks after vaccination.

Any data to prefer a Phizer/Moderna vs a johnson and johnson vaccine?

Anyone see anything about EUA request being pushed by Pfizer for kids 12 and over? I saw that they'd be applying for it after their successful trial, but I haven't seen anything new in a bit.

Was the trial published/peer reviewed?

My understanding was that they got stellar preliminary results for both safety and efficacy, but that it wasn’t yet ready for prime time.

Yea, looks like the data was just self-published, but not peer reviewed yet. Very interested to see how this progresses. If anyone sees new info, please post.

Wow, just like that, Pfizer files for FDA EUA. I also thought last week's info was only preliminary, and heard Pfizer's CEO said the goal was to have it available before the new school year, so it's unclear what changed so quickly. The article says FDA review will take a few weeks. It would be amazing if it could be authorized for 12-16 by Memorial Day, and could be a gamechanger for many sleepaway camps across the country.

J&J's availability will decrease 86% next week from allotments that states were expecting due to the quality control problems in its factory causing 15 million doses to have to be thrown away:

Cuomo says it won't impact NY appointments though:
