Aside from 5/24, why would anyone buy Diamond status for $300+ instead of just applying for the Hilton Aspire for $450?

Basically, for $150 more you get a valuable annual free night, $50 quarterly airline credit, $200 semi-annual resort credit, National status, Clear, etc etc.
