Anecdotally, we've found that typical users of this service are:
1)
Office workers (men and women) without access to a regular mincha minyan during the weekday AND are not attached to their smartphone (smartphone on silent or on DND) during office hours. For these users, an email to their work email address at mincha gedola and before shkia is the best way to gently interrupt their focus and remind them to daven mincha.
2)
Homemakers (primarily women) that want to daven mincha as early as possible (mincha gedola) before the house gets lively with children home from school, etc.
