Hi all,
Looking for the best plan of action here to get the maximum benefit - I'm sure someone has been through this exact situation.
I have a Chase Ink Preferred card w/ Insurance benefit.
Iphone is having a sound issue that probably cannot be repaired (BestBuy mini-genius bar ran a diagnostic that was clean and added "but its not working" - thanks - and the Apple stores are closed). Anyway, assuming I can get a report that it doesn't work....
Do you file under "extended warranty" or "damage replacement" - It's my understanding you need to have visible damage for the damage option. OTOH, I believe the extended warranty is pro-rated.
It's timely because a) the phone doesn't work properly and b) I would like to upgrade to the new 12.
If I file a claim for a non working phone, can I still trade it in when I upgrade?
Thanks all for the guidance here....
