Car Rental Damage Claim
« on: December 16, 2020, 10:29:07 PM »
I rented a car from Enterprise, with chase Sapphire as the insurance (I don't have car insurance). Someone knocked the front bumper clean off while it was parked.

What should be next steps be?

Call enterprise? Get a police report? Should I leave the bumper as is for the cops to see?

Do I need to bother trying to get security camera footage?

Tia.

Sounds like a non-JS topic.
Do you want to play a board game, digitally or in Lakewood NJ? PM me. (Can be asynchronous, i.e. take turns whenever)

For Chase you have to file a claim here https://www.eclaimsline.com/new-claim/

I'm not quite sure if you'll need a police report, but the details on it shouldn't be significant

I doubt anybody will care about security camera footage. The police won't because there is likely no criminal activity, Enterprise will bill you and Chase will pay regardless of blame.

Call Enterprise. Don't mention anything about cameras if you don't want to bother.

Chase will want a police report along with the car rental contract along with a repair estimate.
