When I saw a headline about Russell Wilson hosting a televised vaccination program, I was hoping this would be a well-thought-out and effective harnessing of celebrity power to reach out to minorities and the young who look up to him to get vaccinated as well.
Unfortunately, while I give him credit for trying, as I read the article about the programming including an interview with Fauci to dispel vaccine myths, an appearance by Biden, etc., I'm not sure how effective it will be at reaching its target audience.
I think they would have gotten a lot more bang for their buck rounding up some A-list athletes, musicians, and actors to talk about how important it is to get vaccinated and how safe it is, and then have them get dosed on camera.
