I am trying to reserve a room at the RESIDENCE INN MIAMI BEACH SURFSIDE for next Saturday (25th-27th), but it shows as sold out for 26th-27th.. any way around this? The are only doing 50% bec. of covid...

I released a room there 2 days ago.
I would use openhotelalert.com and set an alert for room type.

Don't elites get a 72/48/24 hour (depending on status) reservation guarantee? Or is that Hilton only?

Titaniums and Ambassadors get a 48 hour guarantee. However, the hotels usually enforce the special timeframe policy so they don't have to honor the guarantee. You cannot use points for these bookings either so the room rate will be $$$
