What is/are the best site(s) for online stock/fund trading?  Also, which ones are good for advice/info?

I liked TKing when I used them, aside from the fact tat it takes FOREVER for them to clear funds from share sales (up to 3 days).

I use Tradeking. They were on Smart Moneys top rated list, and got 5 stars for customer service. They also let you make an order over the phone at no extra charge.  At 4.95 you cant get much cheaper, and your getting great service. Make sure to give one of us $50 referal.

I have a smaller account with Charles schwab which I find is great for research and my larger acct is with optionshouse so I'm charged only $3.95 per trade as well as very cheap cost for options(pm me for a refferal)They also have a relatively new platform with more trading options also schwab is commision free on schwab managed funds

For options in particular, thinkorswim (now part of TDAmeritrade) is recommended by some options traders I know. They have good analytics and are options-savvy.

To clarify, thinkorswim is available to anyone that has a TD Ameritrade account. No separate sign up. It's available under "Trading Tools" after logging in.

A couple of years ago I opened my account with sogotrade where they offered me the first 100 trades comission free and i am pretty sure they still have that offer. good website for stocks/options/ETFs... the transactions are also posted extremely fast and their online trading room is amazing
