Find either a canon or sony Digital Point And Shoot and click buy. If you're looking for something that will A. take pictures, B. easily and C. share via bluetooth/wifi - that's all you need. $200-$300 and done, if you're going for slightly higher end.
If you're looking for a photography hobby and want to be able to switch out lenses for long zoom, short zoom etc., you want a mirrorless (very lightweight, speedy shutter) interchangeable lens camera.
For that, I would recommend something in the Sony a6000 line but not older than 2018. Sony come with an excellent 'pancake' lens; it's super thin and will allow the camera to fit easily in a pocket or purse, the lens has electric zoom and auto focus, so you don't need to fiddle with buttons.
I'm not familiar with canons offerings, personally I think Sonys glass is better but canon is a super close second, and leads with slightly better usability. Canon usually comes with a 'kit' from one to three compatible lenses so you have some options right off the bat.
Keywords to look for:
1. Mirrorless (means its lightweight and supports switching lenses)
2. Wifi/Wireless photo sharing - allows you to pick your photos and download them to your phone on the spot.
Don't spend more than $1,000.
