Most people get quilts that are either full (54") or twin. So you can buy any linen set in one of those sizes, and match up a solid color 48" sheet at your local Jewish linen store. You may also be able to find sheets on amazon.

I recently learned that 48" beds are RV beds. Although it's not a standard size, the manufacturers still make them and the jewish stores cater to this size. I assume anywhere that sells RV supplies probably sells 48" linen, but because it's a specialty item I can't imagine you'll get a better deal.

Probably bec a nonjewish couple would just get a queen/king, but if you need two beds, it's harder to fit two queens or fulls, but they don't want twins because it's small and not comfortable for 2... something like that?

Correct, to be more exact; a standard Master Bedroom is built to have a minimum of a 10 ft width (for the sleeping area) to accommodate a King bed and 2 night tables which is enough room for two 48in beds and 1 night table.

You can also buy a full set with flat sheets instead of fitted sheets
