Blinkist (condensed nonfiction books)
« on: January 06, 2021, 11:45:48 AM »
I signed up for Blinkist after seeing the Amex offer for a free year, and now I'm trying to figure out if I like the service.

I've read the "blinks" of two books, and while I think I gained some knowledge, I'm wondering how much info I'm missing. Anyone have any thoughts? Alternatively, any recommendations for books to read?

BTW, if anyone wants Blinkist for fiction books, it already exists, and it's free. It's called Wikipedia.  :P

Which books did you read?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Which books did you read?
Trey Gowdy's new book, Doesn't Hurt to Ask, and Mark Levin's Unfreedom of the Press.

I thought that Gowdy's book was great and coherent, and I really enjoyed, though I'm left wondering if I'm missing out some great info by having it so condensed.

Regarding Mark Levin's book, I thought it was poorly done and mostly rhetoric, but I don't know if that is a reflection of the original or a product of the condensation process.

Suggestion: A book you've already read in full so that you can judge their work better.
Do you want to play a board game, digitally or in Lakewood NJ? PM me. (Can be asynchronous, i.e. take turns whenever)

I just wracked my brain trying to come up with a non-fiction book I've read that would be on there. I can't even think of one that is on there.

Can you browse a list of their available titles by author and/or subject?
