Is it time for a 3rd party?
« on: January 06, 2021, 11:04:43 PM »
I wouldn’t be surprised if trump breaks away from the Republican Party and makes his own. Would be interesting if he does it now while still president.
I wonder how that would change politics in America. It wouldn’t necessarily mean that the Dems would automatically win everything, because I can see many centrist Democrats moving over to a more moderate Republican Party. I could even see the Democrat party splitting into 2 if that happens.
Do you think it’s more likely now than any time in recent history?

Why would trump leaving make the party more moderate?

Right as of today he became toxic, but I think there are millions of people that think the election was stolen and are ticked off at the Republicans for not even wanting to hear the evidence.

If there was eveidence to hear they would have gladly listened. The problem is that nothing but incoherent stupidity was presented.

Millions that were ticked off at the election results watched aghast at what happened today & will never vote for something like this again.

Court filings. Where else would it have been presented?

I was under the impression that they didn’t really get a chance to show the evidence. Cases were thrown out for other reasons

If the Senate impeaches and convicts Trump he won't be able to run again. He may start another party and put Ivanka at the helm though, just for vengeance and raising $$$

LOL their filings had nowhere to go other than the trash. They were incoherent garbage. Any judge who would give credence to them should resign.

The idea of it was so far out that it stood no chance. Of course TX has no standing to sue PA about their election results. That was a no brainer.

Why not? Pennsylvania wasn’t playing by the rules. Only state legislature can change election law. Not the governor not the Secretary of State and not the state Supreme Court. This happened in a few states
