Some feel Trump deserves everything that is coming at him. They don't care about the jerk but love it is driving Trump nuts. Look at it as the light version of "Celebrate the death of those you feel deserve to die".

It is possibly, yes. What is more probably by a wide margin is they put those feelings to the side and follow the law.

Every murder defendant doesn't have a hard time finding a lawyer. If Trump is having a hard time, that says more about the perceived target from the political elite and powers that be on his back, and fear of association with him due to the fallout being dealt to his underlings.

The problem is the base for both sides. Our only saving grace is they basically cancel each other out. That leaves the I's left who basically do vote for what is best.
