I might prefer it. Allow companies to censor those things. All that and a whole lot more is already being censored, can't get any worse by limiting their censorship abilities.
So... said another way, allow the government to dictate which speech can and can't be censored by companies. Did I misread that?

A better way of putting it - large essential companies censor whatever speech they desire, I might prefer the govt limiting that ability to select scenarios. I haven’t formed a solid opinion on this yet but I don’t see how limiting censorship is worse for citizens than the unlimited censorship we have now.

The foundation that operates Wikipedia will launch its first global code of conduct on Tuesday, seeking to address criticism that it has failed to combat harassment and suffers from a lack of diversity. The new code of conduct bans harassment on and off the site, barring behaviors like hate speech, the use of slurs, stereotypes or attacks based on personal characteristics, as well as threats of physical violence and ‘hounding,’ or following someone across different articles to critique their work.

Citing what he called discrimination against conservatives, Gov. Ron DeSantis and GOP legislative leaders said Tuesday they will back a bill to punish five Big Tech companies – Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google and Twitter – that they believe wield too much power over “the new public square.”

No chance passing that in the current political environment.

The Trump Organization negotiated on behalf of then-president Donald Trump to make Parler his primary social network, but it had a condition: an ownership stake in return for joining....  Parler offered Trump 40% of the company if he posted exclusively to the platform

Facebook removed an interview conducted by daughter-in-law Lara Trump that featured former President Trump, citing rules: "Content posted on Facebook and Instagram in the voice of President Trump is not currently allowed."

Twitter will not allow the National Archives and Records Administration to create preserved versions of former President Donald Trump’s tweets accessible on its platform - in the first time this rule has been applied to a former president.

The social media platform said Wednesday it had been working with NARA to archive tweets from the account for the agency’s use, including those that got the 45th commander in chief permanently banned, though it would not allow the posts to reappear in any fashion on Twitter itself.

For years, the National Archives has used Twitter to maintain preserved versions of former government officials’ posts from their time in office.
