Then you’re IYH be fine with a J&J jab, and can leave the mRNA slot to someone who needs it more.

I just got the first Pfizer shot in Brooklyn today. Booked the appointment last night, they had plenty of slots available in many locations throughout the day.

Appointment was at COVID-19 Vaccine Hub Site: Capsule Pharmacy at Teachers Preparatory High School
Site Address: 226 Bristol Street, Brooklyn, NY 11212

You have to write that you’re a NY resident (maybe students and workers are good as well) and give an address, but no further checks.

I don't think you can get an appointment there. Go to vaccinefinder.org and you can pick which vaccine you prefer. There's J&J and Moderna at a bunch of places in and around CH.

The pause was lifted and it is deemed safe by the FDA, albeit with a warning directed at women under 50 who have an increased risk of a rare but serious blood clot disorder called thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS).

This is separate from CH urgent care?

I was at Medgar Evers today and while it looked full they processed me quickly and I was in and out in 18 minutes flat (including a 15m post-jab wait).

For whatever reason it seems like might only be doing first-dose walk-ins during certain hours, but I'm not sure.
