The point isn't whether or not Pence is objectively a traitor. The problem is there is a sizable portion of the GOP base that subjectively considers Trump a traitor, and Pence is tainted by association. There is no way they will put him up for office again.

Which is pretty clear from the text of the amendment. It says "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office." If he's doing his job in a way that you think is wrong (or even illegal), the 25th amendment is irrelevant.

And yet, I doubt there is a single person who is calling for the 25th amendment to be invoked that didn't say that Trump was fomenting sedition by advancing the (equally ridiculous) interpretation of the constitution that would allow Pence to decide to reject votes unilaterally.
