Camcorder Advice
« on: December 12, 2011, 11:55:25 PM »
So I am looking to buy a camcorder and seem to have narrowed it down to either the Panasonic HDC-TM900 for $599 or the Canon VIXIA HF M41 for $399.

The Canon apparently does better in low light, but the Panasonic shoots way better 1080p content as well as shooting truer color (although people say they like the Canon color better even though its not as true...)

So I guess my question is, does anyone here happen to own any of these specific models and care to share some advice? Or even a different comparable model?

Thanks.

How does it do in low light?

I am now leaning toward the Panasonic HDC-TM90 which BestBuy has for $329 ATM. Its the cheaper version of the TM900 (which is the newer higher end of the SD600 that you have IIRC) but at nearly half the price I can get the TM90 now and then in a year or two get a newer camcorder.

But every time I decide on one I read reviews to make me want to get a different one... :-\

One and the same, I believe the K is just the black model. I think it was on sale for $299 over black friday weekend, but now the best price seems to be $329.

Is he happy with it?
