Marc Lore leaving Walmart

Marc Lore founder of jet.com will be leaving Walmart in September.
Here’s hoping he goes on to start a real Amazon competitor....

Here’s hoping he goes on to start a real Amazon competitor....
I think he did a pretty good job turning walmart.com around.
I'm not saying it's perfect, but it's light years ahead of where it was when he got there.

Over the past year I've found their shipping to be generally faster than Amazon, (especially now that Prime shipping just  means free shipping, no longer next/two day.)

Even with selection, where Amazon always had a huge advantage, in recent months I'm seeing that gap narrowing. (especially since the started 3rd party fulfillment)

Agree with you, he has the vision and made a lot of changes but Walmart corporate mindset is holding him back imo. Walmart is still not an Amazon competitor. I hope he goes on to build a solid Amazon competitor !

Did you watch the video recently posted on DDF about Amazon fullflment? I think it explains why.
