I'm trying to book a Delta non-stop from LGA to IAH using UR points with my CSR. The flight shows up on the Delta website with many available seats, but it doesn't show up on the Chase website or on Expedia. I called Chase and they weren't helpful. Any ideas or suggestions?

I solved my own problem by using Wells Fargo points instead of UR. I have the WF Visa Signature, so WF points are worth 1.5 cents, same as CSR. The only downside was I had to call because there was an infant on the reservation.

A flight that's available on Expedia and not available on Chase Travel, does that make sense?

It definitely can be available.
Expedia/Orbitz/Chase sometimes show different flights even though it’s the same company. Try filtering by specific airlines to get more options, or call in with the flight numbers.

I am having a bit of trouble booking a trip through the Chase travel portal. I'm not yet reserving the tickets as we're not planning on traveling until February-March next year, but I'm doing some price comparisons. My question is as follows: my wife and I and six children B"H with be flying to the U.S. from Israel. That's two adults, five children between the ages of 3-10, and one baby. It seems that on the Chase travel portal I can only book a flight for up to six passengers. I called and I couldn't even really understand what the agent was saying because of her thick accent. I see that on united.com, for example, it is possible to book a fight for the number of passengers I need, but the same exact roundtrip flight on united.com costs 88,300 miles while on the Chase travel portal it costs 67,049 points. Any suggestions on how I can use my points with Chase for this amount of passengers? What's the best way for me to book the flight?

I rarely travel in big groups so I don't have personal experience with this, but in theory you could book it as two separate reservations then call UA to link the two. Perhaps split it up so you have one adult + 3 children on each reservation.

Or of course you could HUCA and see if you get an agent with less of an accent next time

Thank you very much for the reply.

You mean that I would book two reservations through the Chase travel portal and then call UA to combine them? Does anyone else know for certain that that's doable?

Yes you can transfer UR to Southwest at a 1:1 ratio

Not necessarily combine them, but I think there is a way to link them (never done this personally so take it with a grain of salt)

you cannot merge a reservation you can have a note put in that these are together whatever you need that for

I called UA and asked them (very long hold time).  I was told that indeed I can make two reservations through Chase for a total of eight passengers and then call them and they will link the two.

Thanks for the help!

id like to book jetblue flights with chase points. i just want to know whether ill be losing the free changes benefit that jetblue offers? on chase site it claims that after 24 hours there would be a $100 change fee per ticket vs $0 when purchased thru jetblue. is that accurate or would i be able to call jetblue directly and have them change flight?

Portal isn’t allowing me to book flights within 3 days on the portal. Has that always been the case?

Don't know about Chase but Wells Fargo has always been that way. Was able to book by calling WF.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half
