Not really relevant to the convo. SD card definitely makes sense in the Macbook Pro which is used by many pros and has a much narrower market than the iPhone. It should have never been removed. Macbook Air is somewhere in the middle, but given that size is the main selling feature and it's for more casual use they can get away with no SD card.
Magsafe is a huge mistake that they removed it, another obvious backwards step, glad that's back.
I would be surprised if when it comes out, it's not a iSD card, which is exactly the same as a regular SD card except that it costs double and doesn't fit in any other device.
The SD slot in my MB Pro is a regular standard slot, no reason to assume it will be proprietary.
