Fact check: False (or is it 4 pinocchios?)

Actually, when I posted that on April 1, it was correct. The article was published on April 2 and exposed for the first time that March 2021, using certain metrics, was indeed worse than the Trump years (but still not as bad as Bush senior), but thank you for opening my eyes to that.
Of course, they are cherry picked metrics. If you only count each migrant once and not separately for each attempted entry, the CBP estimates it would remove 30-40% of apprehensions, and 2019 would still be worse. The relevant metric is how many illegals are entering the US, and those were still higher in April 2019 than March 2021. The only difference is that in 2021 they were quickly expelled using Covid pretext (Title 42), so they just came back to the border and were caught again making apprehensions go up despite less people crossing the border than under Trump in 2019.
In short, less people are crossing the border more times. We care about the amount of illegal people in the country, not how many times they cross the border. Of course, the entire immigration debate is a giant political spin war since even illegal immigrants are quite good for America, but the metrics still have to make some sense...
S to suggest that Biden's policies have not made things worse is just wrong.
Which Biden border policy made things 'worse'?
