Really depends on the avaialbility they're giving you.
If it requires mileage avaialbility you can do much better with a regular mileage RTW.  If it's full Y/J avaialbility then it can be worthwhile I suppose.

Looks like it should be for any available flight based on "Eligible for mileage accrual in participating frequent flyer programs."

But here's a massive catch they throw in the fine print: "Travel permitted for Northern Hemisphere only."

I believe the point was that a ticket cant have more then 16 legs so its not more limited then any other ticket.

Your "regular ticket" was mileage or paid?

Is this good for meeting a cc spending threshold? "Cancellation will result in Delta credit equal to Groupon price; credit valid for 1 year." Does that mean after 1 year you receive a refund or if you want a refund they will give it to you anytime? (I'm a groupon noob so not sure how their refunds work...) (The $20,000 ticket would be great for the extra 50k Avios on my BA card)

If you're talking about a groupon refund, I don't think those are worth much anymore.
