When on a flight, do you tune in to the ATC?
« on: January 24, 2021, 08:00:26 AM »
I recently started going on liveatc.net and pulling up a runway map when I'm on a flight. It took a while to get the hang of which channel to tune in to, but it seems that there is usually one with all the ground channels so you can start of there.

I'm wondering if anybody else enjoys trying to follow along or has any tips on catching then call out your flight?

Yup. But its challenging finding the right channels as they switch from one to the next. I use the live atc app.

I was told by a Delta pilot (FWTW) that united has stopped doing it, but it seems you've used it recently

If I want to hear which runway planes are taking off from/landing on in JFK, which channel do I listen to?
