Once you acknowledge Daas Torah/Gedolei Yisroel/LOR etc are subject to review and don't override the torah, you open up too many other leaders for criticism. Understanding the obligation to follow Rabbinical jurisdiction & authority is not infinite but has boundaries is way too much nuance to ask for nowadays, because then you'd actually have to defend the merits of every gudiance instead of just discrediting all question as illegitimate.
