I would edit the title of this thread to "Whats your steps that a godel needs to take to become one" and we can have all anonymous internet posters here to decide how someone becomes a gudol b'yisroel.

(The benefit will that we can decide the formula and based on that decide whom we need to have derech eretz for and whom we can just bash and whom we have a mitzvah to bash and who is a avodoh Zara.)

Go ahead and open any thread you wish. This thread is here because we believe every Rabbi's directives are subject to appropriate scrutiny, just like Moshe Rabeinu was scrutinized.

Thats not how this thread was opened and I have no issue for forum posters to ask what a Rabbi's rules are. The way this thread happened was by your nasty comments on a big gudol byisroel and that is a real shame!

Becoming an adam gadol? ah.. it entails soo much to achieve that, total dedication to avodas hasem.. complete selflessness.. and the list goes on.. but we know it when we see it. No need for a thread for that.

And here is the good news, your father/grandfather/uncle etc. must not be a Rebbe to become one, as well as being a descendant to a Rebbe doesn't make you one, when not meeting the full criteria.

Of course being a bneshek in addition to meeting the full criteria is a huge plus, and sometimes even helps one to meet the criteria easier. זכות אבותיו מסייעתו

Do you have a issue with defining how someone becomes a gudol? Must I accept your defenseless position of not allowing to question a gudol? (even someone I would agree is a gudol forget about someone you want to force on me as a gudol)

I will repeat, I have one issue and based on that it was what started this whole back and forth on this whole subject.

I have no issue by any of you accepting or not, follow or not any advice given by any gudel biyisroel. I have a issue with the way @platinumguy expressed himself on a big gudel and thats a shame.

I dont know if that post was deleted already but scroll back to the post that started this whole converstion and then agree or disagree if that was an appropriate post on a frum forum

I can hardly believe to have seen such posts on a frum forum and furthermore need to defend that it makes no sense to post that.

Yiddishkeit is only surviving by following our rosh yeshivas and rabbanim. Big gedoilim that have all what you guys said a gudol should have are nothing but the author of a book he will decide who is a gudol?  seriously.

I hope I wouldnt have anybody here that will agree with that posts that started this whole thread

regards bullying one of you the other on the internet just go ahead and enjoy yourselves I will leave the crying of getting bullied for some other members.

I did not get any messages in private although I have sent long ago to @platinumguy in private about this before he got to his ugly responses on big rabunim. its a dangerous road to take without following rabanim, everybody his rav and to have a respect for a other rav yiddishkeit is based on this

Buy the book The Making of a Gadol

I though it's off the market.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

If you are referring to PMs on this site, I just searched them and checked through all of the senders a year back and that's fake news.

Not an invitation to PM me now, I don't read PMs, and every time you post I am more and more convinced of how incorrect your hashkafa (or lack thereof) is.

I know it's available on PDF, I've seen it. But that's free, not for sale, hence you can't buy it.
