Platinum Elite Status from Amex Bonvoy Brilliant card

I applied for the Amex Bonvoy Brilliant on January 13 using the link on the main site. The Marriott status was supposed to have been upgraded  to Platinum Elite as of February 1st. My status is still showing Gold.
Has anyone gotten the Platinum status through this card?
Or is anyone still showing Gold when they were expecting to see Platinum?

I chatted with Amex and they told me that I need to wait up to six weeks for the Platinum Status to post, and also that the status would not be extended even though I would not be getting the full 12 months.

Is it worth pursuing this?

What they are doing doesn't seem right because the welcome offer states that the Platinum status will be effective by February 1st. There is no fine print stating that that's only if you apply six weeks prior...

The problem is that I am taking a trip next week and need the status now.

Any suggestions?

I am having the same issue however i applied well over 6 weeks ago and didn't either receive the signup bonus .I had to wait 12 weeks from when i completed the spend in order to escalate it and then they finally gave me the points but still no status. #bonvoyed
Sorry I don't have any snarky line for this space
