Reassuring to know it wasn't just me who couldn't understand what Castor was trying to say. So it seems that Schoen was supposed to lead the defense, but as he heard that "the House managers' presentation was well done", he realized he had to edit his presentation, and so Castor was sent in to adlib for the first hour.
But what does it mean? They had expected the Democrats to do a crappy job, and so hadn't prepared adequately? Or were they surprised at the video, and felt they needed to put together some visual effects themselves? Or had Raskin shot through Schoen's argument before he even had a chance to make it? Strange.
