I'm sure their are plenty of no-names who are really good, and the radio people probably know. Guys like the young Mike Pence (though I have no idea how entertaining he was,) who I assume was not well-known on a national level before he went into politics. I would think they would have a rotating system of guests until they identify which one gets the most listeners. Similar to what Fox seems to be doing now with their "Primetime" show.
I think Ben Shapiro would be much better than Dan Bongino, but even Shapiro sometimes gets caught up in his Shtick, and probably does not appeal to as wide an audience as Limbaugh did because of his fast-pace style.
Mark Steyn also seems like a better choice to me.
