I routed my number through callcentric for caller id a while back & now not only don't I get called Id but 50% of people calling me don't get through, I just get a missed call email

Did you check your CC account? What happens when you call the CC number directly?

is there a way to spoof a caler ID when calling out with a google number? I dont want the google number to be displayd.

Use a Spoofcard, same as with a regular phone.
Or just make a new account with a number you don't care about.

Im trying to port my (Tmobile prepaid) number to Google Voice but after submitting i got a error asking for a pin and the last  last 4 of my SS after i provided it (i just used my pin also for my ss -as prepaid accounts Don't need any...) i'm still getting this error "Sorry. Your mobile number can not be ported at this time." Anyone know how to get my number ported? Or do i just wait and try again later?

You might have to call T-Mobile and have them unlock the number so it could be ported.

Called them and the rep and their supervisor had no idea what i"m talking about...

Called multiple times and they either don't know what i'm talking about or they say T-mobile does not lock numbers...

Trying to set up a new google voice account... I put in a phone number to verify, typed in the code, and for some reason verification did not complete. Now I'm trying again and it won't take that phone number .

When porting out, all you need is your T-Mobile account pin, and then provide it to your new cell phone provider, and they port the number for you.

I am using Google numbers with my asterisk switch and found that you cannot spoof your caller ID.

Spoofcard is extremely overpriced. One can easily setup FreePBX, get a sip trunk, and change their caller id, and make calls for a penny a minute.

From my experience, just cancel the existing portage, and create a new one

That's a bit complicated for the average user. It's much easier to just make a new GV account.
