Google Voice may save a number as a home number, and in that mode it will not allow you to forward messages. In order to change that there's an option in legacy site.

I downloaded the app for Google.voice on my phone (sprint HTC EVO) and it has this annoying feature that once you press talk then it says to answer press one... Does anyone know how I can get rid of it??

Unless you want your messages to go to your cellphone's voicemail, then keep the screenig on. I also like to have it so I know if the person calling called my cell or GV.

I believe that in that case, if you don't answer then it forwards to Google voice. Where have you been receiving your voicemails as of late. Do they appear on you GV account?

Take that back, the way it is setup outgoing texts need to be sent from the site or an app to show up as coming from GV. (probably to avoid confusion as it would look like you sent it to a different number - whatever, its complicated; it probably could be done I don't know why they don't /end rant)

By the way, I don't have call screening on, and my GV voicemail picks up my calls (forwards to cell and office at the same time).

It worked fine for over a year, and recently my cell phone VM was picking up too fast.  I called VZW tech support -- and they lengthened the delay that it takes for the VZW VM to pick up, so that it always gets picked up by GV.  Unless you call my cell directly, in which case VZW VM picks up.

Why not just change your VZW VM number to GV?
