I was actually just asking for myself. I ported out my Google number and now it's in limbo. I can make outgoing calls but can't receive incoming (except through Hangouts). I read that Google sends an email when a number is ported out (which I didn't receive yet) so I was just curious if they still do that.

Anyways how did you fix your issue?

It seems like it's working now. I got the email around an hour ago and now everything is running through the carrier. It took a few chat sessions with support but wasn't too bad.

Total port time was like 3 days (with following up with support).

My house phone is google voice through obihai. As these days my kids have conference calls, is there a way to bypass and dial out?
The regular conference dial out won't work...

Im having issues connecting to a conference call with Google voice. When entering the conference pin it seems to be doubling each digit that is pressed (the system reads back the input when there's an error).

Can this be caused due to some conference calls not being supported on Google voice?

I've been using Google voice on 5 devices for my kids' conferences. Now it's not putting through outgoing calls (to any number, not just conference lines), incoming calls are still working fine. When I switched to another Google voice acct it's working fine. Any ideas?

Make sure you didn't get signed out of your Google account, and if you didn't sign out and then back in.

Doing it on speaker phone? (I just think a possibility of the mic hearing the tone out from the speaker and takes it as another button press.)

A friend of mine was telling me that he was using one Google voice account with two phones, using the same number for both phone's for conferences for the past few weeks.
   He told me that Google shut down his account, was he doing something against the terms and condition?

  To be on the safe side I would have told him to use two separate accounts.
     Assuming that's the only reason why they would shut him down being that he was using two phones simultaneously?
   Obviously if it's for the conferences they can charge if they wanted to, just like they charge for international numbers, don't say that to be a reason why he would get shut down.
  I told him to appeal the shut down and see what happens.

I am looking to send out mass texts and come up with the following potential solution.
If you receive a text to your GV number you see an receive it as an email from an address like this {yourGVnumber}.{sender phone number}.{10 random characters}@txt.voice.google.com
If you ask everyone who will be getting the texts to send a text to your GV number, you will then have the ability to email them using the above email and they will get it as text. If you email all those numbers at once it will be a mass text.
Problem is i tried it using a new google account and google voice number and the texts were coming a day later or not at all.
Is this because it was a new google account?
I heard of someone doing this successfully but they were also receiving many incoming texts, so perhaps that was the reason why it wasnt flagged. Before I try using my personal GV number, I want to make sure it works.
Does anyone have any experience in this, or know why the texts were coming a day late or not at all?

I am having an issue which maybe someone else has also had and knows how to fix. With all the phone lines that are necessary now, was using Google Voice for one of my kids to call in to their conference. Also because of increased kids use of the computer, added NetNanny to my existing filters. But it seems that Net Nanny somehow interferes with Google Voice being able to make calls! I know this is so because when I disable the filtering it works fine. I reached out to them and they told me check for red websites in developer mode, but there were none. Tried adding voice.google.com and play.google.com to allowed sites list, didnt help. Any ideas anyone?
