there is much to say on the topic of searching DDF, but I'll just start with something small.

if the built in search engine is not cutting it for you, try using google. just type in (or copy paste)

followed by whatever it is your searching for and google will return results from DDF alone.

if you'd like to search with specific parameters in a specific thread, you can do so by adding in the url any of the following:

--- Code: ---&userspec=*
--- End code ---

--- Code: ---&sort=relavance|desc
--- End code ---

--- Code: ---&sort=first_post|desc
--- End code ---

--- Code: ---&sort=last_post|desc
--- End code ---

--- Code: ---&minage=0
--- End code ---

--- Code: ---&maxage=9999
--- End code ---

(In place of "desc", "asc" can be used)

So for example this will search just in this thread:

And this will search in the whole forum:
