NY - Homeowner tax rebate credit (HTRC)
« on: June 14, 2022, 04:26:28 PM »
The homeowner tax rebate credit is a one-year program providing direct property tax relief to nearly three million eligible New York homeowners in 2022.

If you qualify, you don't need to do anything; we'll automatically send you a check for the amount of your credit.

So based on the lookup I'm supposed to get about $330.

What is that costing me?

Seems like all the stimulus "free money" that I got is costing an arm and a leg with the current inflation (and rising interest rates).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

100%, but once the money’s been printed you lose out by not cashing what’s you’re entitled to.

It's state money, no? Does state/local spending create additional state/local level inflation?

Now we just need another rebate for parents with children in private schools... and then there's what to talk about
Drop vouchers and school choice venues.. this pathway is much easier
(of course, it's enough.. but something better than nothing)

But would only work for homeowners?
