Hotel this weekend nj area

Hi all. I need to go to a hotel this weekend in the nj area so that I can then match to Hyatt diamond. They keep rejecting me since I have gold status on other hotels (Starwood, Marriott, Sheraton) but no stays. Any ideas where I can go for a 2 day weekend this weekend in the nj area that won't be expensive? Also, if I use points for the stay will Hyatt consider that a paid stay? Thanks.

there are always cheap rates at the morristown hyatt you say weekend do you want to be near a shul? morristown has a shul right near the hotel
second option would be hyatt new brunswick also a shul 10 min. walk from hotel(higland park is 1000 ft. away from the hotel)
third option is hyatt place in fairlawn nj also very close to a shul.

please let us know if you need a shul in close proximity

He doesn't have any top tier status all the stay's in the world (well I guess eventually they will) won't make him Diamond (unless marriott gold is top tier)

The hyatt place in fair lawn is a good option....about 15 min walk to the young israel....also, you can get a shabbat package from petak's for shabbos...not a bad place...

Do we know for sure he does not have HH Gold?

He says he has "sheraton. . . [and] starwood" gold. Maybe he meant HH?

I have Hilton, Marriott, and Starwood Gold. I want Hyatt Diamond. Do I need to do paid stays to be considered for a Hyatt match, or will point stays at the other hotel chains suffice?
