email spammers - and how do you get rid of them

want to prevent getting spammed?

when you sign up for something/donate to a place that you are worried about getting spam simply make a fake email address temporarily. For example:
https://temp-mail.org/en/ or https://internxt.com/temporary-email

its rediculous that we need to go thru this
i innocently donated somewhere and the spam emails dont stop coming
thanks to everyone who is exposing these crooked organizations!!

Some steps you should take:

1) Click report spam in your email client on every email
2) Report abuse to the marketing provider such as MailChimp, contantcontact etc
3) Advise the Charity how it reflects on them

anytime i donate i use a catchall to my domain with the organization as the email address eg charity@mydomain.com
if I ever get spam to that email, i know who sold it.

You can now block all future email to that specific email address

How hard is this to set up? I love the idea. I have a domain but I don't have any emails set up with it. Is there anyway to do it without paying monthly fees?

Not hard- you set up a catchall, and then there's no need to set up a new address each time- they all come to the same place.

I think many (all?) domain hosting sites can set up a catchall for free.

check zoho. i'm pretty sure that's how i set it up initially. Now everything forwards to gmail. If i would ever want to send at outgoing message with that email address (I won't) I'll have to sign back in to see how

you might not need to sign in to figure it out, if you try to add another "send from" address to your gmail account, I'm pretty sure it'll just need to send you a confirmation code at that address (which will already forward to you via the catchall)

sorry, to clarify, it's forwarded to a junk gmail account ending in @gmail.com, not my domain.

You can use improvmx or cloudflare both are free.
To send as you will use your own Gmail SMTP credentials

Surprised to see this happening with H&M
I'm getting about 5 emails per week, clicked unsubscribe on every single one of them for weeks, both link and gmails unsubscribe button though they never stopped. I blocked in Gmail and they still land daily in my spam folder.
