Yeah... it looks like Dan is only positive about lounge access, probably because of the hassle dealing with an incompetent rep an checkin vs when you have ur A3 FF # its hard coded.

Guys, this is not rocket science. C'mon, do I really have to spoonfeed all this to you?!

Here's how to keep as low of a profile as possible: flash your card at checkin if you have it, then check your printed boarding pass to see if they indeed changed it. If they didn't, great, you're done; if they did - or if you simply don't have your card - proceed to the next paragraph.

Once you're in the lounge (or wherever), use your computer/tablet/phone to change the FFN on United.com, from A3 to UA. Then casually ask the lounge agent/gate agent to print a new copy of your BP (without mentioning the change). Make sure he new BP has the UA number.

If I have elite status with UA and I change my FF # to A3 at the airport to get free bags, will it make me ineligible for Battlefield upgrades? And if the answer is yes, will changing my FF # back to UA after checking in my bags make me eligible again for the battlefield upgrade?

I saw this was asked before but did not see a response (I even PM'ed the guy to see if he ever got a response) so I hope this was not asked and answered.

What does "minimum miles" mean on Aegean? Does it mean they will award those miles even if you fly less than that? Or does it mean that if you fly less or if the redemption rate is less, you will earn zero?

It means that if you fly less they will award you with that amount

So why fly to seatle? you could fly closer on class A that will get you 15000 and then another short one.

You will get 1,500, not 15,000

You need 19,000 so that will be over 12 segments in A, how can that be cheaper or easier than the Seattle route

I recently flew on swiss airlines using my aegean account to get to gold. The class for my ticket was class "y" and based on the rate on aegeans website, i should be earning 150% on the miles flown. For some reason when aegean credited my account they credited it as if it was a class "w" ticket thereby only earning 100% of the miles flown. Does anybody know of any way i can get the extra miles credited? i have tried emailing them a few times and have never got any response back.
