My hunch is you need to do NYC-ATH and ATH-TLV on separate tickets.

I tried applying for this Visa card, but it won't take the address and phone numbers. Any ideas?

Did you try a Greek address?? I wonder what would happen if you try opening a US cc with a Greek address

With the debt issues there right now, I'm sure the random Greek person receiving a CC in the mail would be most appreciative.....

In the uk I opened a bank acc and cc.

I made the address something like:

Mr Super Flyer
123 My street
Monsey
USA 11952
United Kingdom

So the post obviously send it to the USA.

But. I can't even send it with an american address is my point. I eded up printing the application and faxing it to Greece. We'll see what happens. With 1 flight to Israel, the 7000 points, and 1000 for opening the Flyer account that would give me 20000, enough for Gold.

I qualified for Gold in 8/11 and my card is until 12/14.
Don't fully understand their system.

That's what it should be. 3 full years after the qualifying year.

But humor me, try asking for a replacement card and let us know what the exp date on it is...

as a beginner, I would just like to try to make a summary of the cost/benefit advantages and see if I understood correctly.

Basically one is going to fly 20,000 miles on *A airlines and enter the aegan ffn to gain Gold status on Aegan. Then after you have achieved status you have to fly one time every 36 months using that aegan ffn to keep the status. Gaining gold status will among other things get free extra luggage on all *A airlines and entrance to all *A lounges worldwide.

Just one point of clarification, how exactly (after gaining gold status on aegan) do you pull the shtick to book with aegan ffn but then change to a different *A ffn to gain miles on that airline?

Every bank here asks for proof of address so I'm not sure how that would work.
