As long as you hit silver after 1/1/12, your status should last until 1/1/15

Good question...if not...I for example would lose 2,600 appx.i.e.My account has 1k miles...plus...1800 from TLV-ZRH =2,800....ZRH-JFK is appx. 3800 miles which either will get me *S plus 2,600 toward *G or it would just reset and I would need a 'fresh' 16k to earn Gold...hopefully someone with experience can tell us...

Don't you have something like 18 months from when you hit silver to hit gold?
12 months I think.
Once you have collected 16,000 miles within one year from the date which you qualified to the Blue status, you will receive the Gold Card.
