If they book you in fare class N, you won't get anything for it, even on US Airways.

ETA: scratch that. I just read somewhere that N is an award class on US, despite the fact that on other *A partners it isn't. But still, if they book the companion pass as an award fare, you won't get anything for it.

Meh. Their dismal alcohol selection tastes like urine anyway. Especially compared to, say, LH.

For me, the primary reason for *G is the extra bags.

For many (most?)   people here,  the main benefit is the extra baggage.

Lounge access for me, because I can't eat the food, is about the drinks, alcohol included.

Of course the bags are nice, but I appreciate my foreign *G mainly for the lounge access.

Charging for the alcohol they are while also charging a whopping $50 per visit is criminal.

That said, can I just leave her FFN blank, and then, when I decide one way or the other, just credit them retroactively by Ticket number and boarding pass etc?

Found it. Looks quite generous:

In the event that earned Miles do not appear in the Account one 14 days following the flight event, please fill out the online request form to retroactively claim the flight’s miles (through the Online Miles&Bonus Account Management on AEGEAN’s website, www.aegeanair.com). The corresponding miles will be credited to the Member's Account after two (2) weeks, at the latest, upon a reply from the Star Alliance member-carrier that executed the flight in question. Existing Miles&Bonus members can claim their miles retroactively for flights that took place up to 12 months prior to their retro-claim request (exception: Air New Zealand, LOT Polish, South Africa Airways and TAP Portugal, for which retro-claim is viable for flights taken place up to 6 months prior to retro-claim request).
