The annoying thing is that if this actually lasts for a lifetime (or even a very long time) and I end up being a more frequent traveller, I'll regret not doing this for ~$600. Ah, decisions in life.

Got to love the comment on DDMS by the guy who thinks it was a nice write up, yet didn't read most of it and would rather use his brain power to learn Gemara.

Why? What's the big deal with gold status? There are lots of ways to access lounges, and the additional bag is only worthwhile for someone who flies often, in economy, with lots of luggage. Am I missing any other perks?

I am looking to book this before midnight but I am nervous about the fare basis code.

When booking it says Fare Class: United First (A).

But looking at the the Fare Basis Code it starts with L (LAA21AZN).

Will Aegean honor this for triple miles?

Has anyone gotten this deal to work with Aegean?
