I have a few questions (this is somewhat lengthy) and hope some of you can shed some light for me so I can make a decision where to credit a few future flights.
I'm currently A3 Silver (I had my last credited flight on on August 27, 2013 which brought me to 4,000 A3 miles and A3 Silver). My status was elevated to to A3 Silver on September 1, 2013 "card upgrade."
The way I understand the rules, I can choose the 12 month period where I try to go for gold. Since I am still at 4,000 miles (never flew since 2013) and A3 silver, is there a due date that I need to obtain the additional 16,000 miles to get to gold? The way I understand it, the 12 month cycle doesn't start until I begin accumulating miles past the 4,000 mark. Contrastingly, do I need to credit my final 16,000 miles within a year of my last flight that got me to 4,000 miles (August 27, 2013) or within a year of when I was elevated to A3 Silver (September 1, 2013)?
My final set of questions is that I have several AC flights coming up, all Z class. Two of the flights are on AC's Rouge (international flights) and the other two are on standard AC metal (international flights). I understand that AC metal flights get 200% accumulation of A3 miles, but I am not so sure the chart is clear on AC Rouge flights in Z class (they have several expired dates on their chart and it seems as though Z class might have fallen off completely??) Finally, my last flight (AC metal) will be on September 1, 2014 (exactly 1 year when I was elevated to A3 silver) and slightly over 1 year after I had my last qualifying flight (August 27, 2013).
Will I qualify for A3 Gold as long as the above flights are 16,000 miles accumulation or more (the AC metal flights alone on Z class will put me over that even if I received no credit for the AC Rouge flights)? Or, will I be past the 12 month period and all of this would go to waste for gold?
