My chavrusa was informed by the doctor at Friendly Urgent care that they have seen ~25 cases of people with prior antibodies getting reinfected in the last week. His cousin with *very* recent antibodies (tested within the last month) tested positive as well.
Reinfected as in positive PCR or symptomatic?
Positive PCR.. that is how they diagnose the symptomatic patients who arrive. I don’t fully understand your question.
His question was it just a positive PCR, or they also had symptoms
Weird. Friendly's just did a data dump into Chemed's tracker and they did *not* notate that these are suspected reinfections (either previous PCR+/antibodies/covid-like illness).
Is that usually notated?
48 new cases in Lakewood yesterday.Regular for recently. No Purim surge. I didn't expect one.
The numbers to this point do not show any spike but I'm curious, why did you not expect one?
Very significant uptick in my community. This is without a community party.
I would imagine that different communities took different amounts of precautions over Purim. While numerous DDFers have reported that Lakewood saw no uptick, other places may have had a lot more partying. Or were you referring to Lakewood as well?
Anecdote: Was just in Chemed this morning and the covid testing was almost empty. 1 (other) frum person and a handful (5-6) of non-jewish people. I've never seen it so quiet.
Because people mingled every day in shul, yeshiva, weddings. I didn't think that Purim would be more of a trigger.
