On Shabbos, RYBs said over something he heard from the Lubavitcher Rebbe on Purim. He asked what the machlokes between Mordechai and the the other chachomim was. (The posuk says Rotzui l'rov echav - the Sanhedrin did not agree that he went into politics.)
He explained with the Gemara in berachos: the Chasidim Harishonim would spend an hour preparing for davening, an hour davening and an hour after davening, three times a day. How did they manage to learn Torah and earn a living? The Gemara answers that because they were indeed chasidim, their Torah was miskayem and their parnassah was misbarech. Kiyum refers to the lack of a need to do chazarah. Beracha refers to a little bit resulting in a lot.
The Sanhedrin said that Mordechai would not have time to learn more (even if, granted, he would not forget what he learned before), so they didn't agree with Mordechai.
However, the Rebbe said, the girsa in the Yerushalim uses "misbarachas" to refer to both parnassa and limud. Even though Mordechai had less time to learn, he would still be able to accomplish a lot.
The Rebbe concluded that Mordechai was a Yerushalmi, so he had that girsa. The rest of the Sanhedrin were Bavliim and they didn't have it.
RYBs said he wasn't sure if the Rebbe was serious or meant it as Purim Torah...
