Would you know if they used zinc, vitamin D along with the ivermectin in their trials? The vitamins are equally important in helping treat covid.
Taking other substances that have been shown over and over again to do nothing doesn't change anything.

And proper studies are unimportant for a cheap drug... Even if it has the potential to save thousands of lives.

So I guess you will be paying for the study :).
Seriously I was not saying we should not investigate potential drugs. I was responding to what you said that Pfizer will have studies done much faster.
Keep in mind there are thousands of drugs out there, studies are hard to do and cost a lot. Collages/hospital etc only have so much man power and money....

There are some studies that suggest they work. At least as a potential prevention.

Are you able to access the article through that link?
Yes. No mention of vitamins administered.
Similar to the hydroxychloroquine trials. (there, I said the H word! ) Where they never had a proper study done with the full treatment cocktail including Zinc, Vit D, Vit C, & Azithromycen if necessary....

We can do the study in our community! Hundreds are taking it & are doing perfectly fine... But it must have been their water intake. ;)

Didn't Dr Z say that he was doing one? Where are the results, or did he move on? THe first thing before anyone will start a study is to see an indication of it coming something. Anyone with qualifications can start their study.

Is there a control group? If yes then why wouldn't they publish the results?

What does “if necessary” mean? If the study didn’t return the results you want you’ll add another drug to the cocktail list and say they missed that one?

Without comparing a water group to an Ivermectin group you have no proof either way. The burden of proof is on you, because you claim it works.

It's the antibiotics Zpack I'm referring to. In case they feel like they are developing a pneumonia. It's not necessary for all.

Do you have any studies supporting this assertion?

You realize you are asserting a claim with no data to back you up and expecting others to provide proof that your claim is *false*? That is not how arguments work.

And a pretty elaborate claim at that: “Ivermectin might not work on it’s own, but it certainly does work with z-pack (or whatever the cocktail of vitamins was), and Azithromycin is needed, but ‘only if the patient feels like they’re developing pneumonia’”.

Miracle components hyroxychloroquine and quercetin are mysteriously missing...

So then all the studies showing no value in the use of Ivermectin are indicative since at least some of them did not "feel like they are developing pnemonia".

But the study is only with treatment started 7 days after symptoms began and they also didn't give them vitamins A, b, c, d, e, f, and g! How is this even worth anything!

That's when they normally gave it. For inpatients who weren't doing well.
But you're right, Vitamins A-Z including H2O obsorbtion is not mentioned in the study. Oh well!

I'm not getting into this discussion, but I can tell you that the average person cannot get through scientific studies and understand what's going on .

My father was a pharmacist for 30 years, when younger I'd read his pharmacy journals, sure there's lots of new drugs and stuff tried but this is generally for specific treatments.

I had chronic dry mouth post surgery, my father had received a sample of horizons I think, well It cured me!

I had terrible psoriasis for years (probably from all the wine ... No joke, once I cut down alcohol my face got better) anyways, a dermatologist friend recommended sal3, sulfur dioxide soap and boom that worked better than all the RX stuff .

But that's not a controlled scientific study, it's just random stuff that worked for me... Where it never hurt to try things.

You can challenge medical science in ways,  but ironic that the warnings of taking various medications like hydroxy are shrugged off, while they will scream at how vaccines kill.

I recommend the book "trick or treatment"

The average frum person absent a secular education should open their mind to how medical science evolved.
